I am trying to: This site was working fine until a few days ago. Now, the sitewide header which is an Elementor template does not show on archive pages for some custom post types and on some custom post type single pages with simple content templates.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
This page shows header and footer properly: hidden link This is the FAQ archive output into an accordion in layouts and the archive view.

This page shows no header and no footer: hidden link This is a single FAQ post type with a content template, no layout.

This page has no header but does have a footer: hidden link this is an archive and the banner across the top is part of its layout.

The header and footer are Elementor Templates with "entire site" display rules.

I expected to see:
The sitewide header and footer on every page.

Instead, I got:
Some post types and archives / views are not outputting the header and sometimes the header and footer, at all. It is not present and hidden, it just isn't output.

There are no unusual javascript console errors or WP debug errors that would seem to relate to these issues in any way.

I've tried disabling various plugins with no change in this result.

We are using GeneratePress and I use GeneratePress Elements to insert Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Zoho's heat map scripts. I've tried removing these with no change in the result.

I do not know if this is related to anything in Toolset but some of the most recent plugin updates on the site were Toolset plugins and the affected pages all have to do with custom posts created with Toolset.

I have determined that Views update to 2.6.4 caused this issue. Where can I download 2.6.3 while you look into how 2.6.4 breaks Elementor's header templates in some cases?

I think it is this same issue:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/view-issue/
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/single-templates-in-elementor-not-showing-content-after-last-toolset-update/

We are on that.

You could "downgrade" on the Toolset Account > Downloads > Views > Changelog and download the older version you want, install it on your server and disable the updated version.

Thanks Beda. I ended up extracting wp-views from an older backup and copying that over the newer one on the site. It fixed the issue for now. Hope to see it fixed for good in a Views update soon.

Hi Scott

Thanks for your feedback. This is Juan, Toolset team leader.

We are currently working to solve this issue in a hotfix for Views, and we do want to get this entiely right before caling it done. Because of that, I am sending an email to you and including our main Views developer, to get all the information we might need and also to be able to verify that what we do fits your needs.

I think you already got in touch with Amir about this. I hope you do not mind I take it from here and I do hope we will be able to solve this in no time.

Thanks again.

Hello - I have just found the same issue after the update. I am using GeneratePress (Hooks) to display Elementor Shortcodes, and in GeneratePress (Headers) to display Elementor Shortcodes, but these have stopped working.

Any updates on this?

It's obviously a nightmare as I cant have no header and footer!!
