[Resolved] Site migration issues

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After migration, Views in sidebar are not working.

Solution:
Try to manually Export View from your old site using Toolset settings >> and then import it in your new site using Toolset.

For Toolset content: Please go to Toolset >> Export / Import >>
There are multiple tabs at the top for each plugin (Types, Views, CRED, etc). You need to go to relevant tabs in Export/Import page and export import data for each plugin, into the new site.

I am trying to:
Move from staging to live:
hidden link (staging) to hidden link (live) and get all the Toolset sidebar views working.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
On hidden link you can see all our sidebar views displaying and working.
But on the live site after our migration these are all missing.
The location drop-down doesn't work on the live site either but it does on staging.

On the find a therapist section on staging the therapist location dropdown is working but on live it's not:
hidden link (staging)
and live:
hidden link

I've tried exporting and importing the types, views, and layouts from Tauron into ayurvedicyogamassageuk.org sites.

Can you help us getting all these views working on the live site?

Thanks for your support.

Hi Guy,

Thank you for contacting Toolset support. I can see that you are using beta version of Toolset Views, and also older version of CRED. Please update ALL Toolset plugins (Views 2.4.1 and CRED 1.9.2) to it latest official release. Or you can download it from your account:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Please make sure that site is migrated properly. I would highly recommend to move your site using one of the below trusted plugins (we use Duplicator plugin which works best):
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ -- highly recommended
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

Thank you

Hey Noman,

I've updated all those plugins now but the issue is still there.
We migrated the site with InfiniteWP.

I also exported all the Toolset settings using the export import feature and imported the zip files into the live site.
How can we get this working? Any suggestions as what we can try next?

Hello Guy,

Looks like it is not properly installed, can you please reset Website and Database from a previous installation (live site) and start over with a fresh installation of WordPress and an empty database.

Please use Duplicator plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Let me know if this resolves the issue. Thank you

Hi Noman,

I've spent days trying to move this site now. Duplicator didn't work. The hosting company had to move the site for me but we have the same issue with the sidebars. I've tried duplicating a sidebar view and inserting it as a widget into the sidebar but this doesn't work either.

We urgently need your help. This site was supposed to be delivered last week.

Thanks,

Hey Noman,

Just to let you know I've checked the folder sizes between the staging and live sites and they are identical.
This means that the problem is not being caused by the files not being copied over properly.

Can you help us get our sidebar views working on the live site?
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

This is really urgent for us now.
Thanks for your support.

Guy

Hello Guy,

I am sorry to hear that you are still having issues. I was off yesterday, someone from team should have replied you with this info but it didn’t happen for some reason. Sidebar content / widgets data is stored in database so folder files size is not related in this case. Have you tried to manually Export View from your old site using Toolset settings >> and then import it in your new site using Toolset?

For Toolset content: Please go to Toolset >> Export / Import >>
There are multiple tabs at the top for each plugin (Types, Views, CRED, etc). You need to go to relevant tabs in Export/Import page and export import data for each plugin (in your case its Views only, into the new site.

If you have tried this method and the particular View still not working, please let me know and we will move ahead accordingly to fix it and I will try my best to resolve it at highest priority.

Thank you
