Tell us what you are trying to do?
When you click on any of the links in our mega menu that accesses the Toolset search, it's very slow loading the page. It's the same when you search. Our search bar on the homepage stopped working after an update as well as Elementor doesn't want to connect to the search results page anymore.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
None

Is there a similar example that we can see?
Just go to the site and click around. Any page that needs to be generated through Toolset is slow. It will speed up the lnoger you are on the site, but it's frustratingly intermittent.

What is the link to your site?
hidden link

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

When you intermittently experience slow loading speed, are any errors or warnings generated in the browser's console or the server's error logs?

If there are no errors or warnings, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details, along with the few example pages, where you most frequently, experience this.

Note: Your next reply will be private and making a complete backup copy is recommended before sharing the access details.

regards,

Thank you for sharing the access details.

I've used a couple of different browsers and devices to test your website's search form on the homepage and search results page and here are my findings:

1. When not logged in, the search completes within 3-4 seconds.

2. When logged in, it completes within 8-9 seconds. It is understandable because when logged in, some extra background admin tasks are running in the background. Also, the cache and optimization also are usually more aggressive for non-logged-in visitors, compared to the logged-in administrator users.

I couldn't access the website's backend admin area despite being logged in, as it keeps redirecting back to the frontend homepage.

There was no extra delay or slow response experienced during these tests. Can you please test this again and see if you only experience this while logged in as any particular user or on any specific type of device or browser?

Hi Waqar,

I've been making a few changes in the backend, removing unnecessary templates and adjusting the caching plugin settings, and installing query monitor to try and resolve the problem. I find when the site is at its slowest, query monitor is stating that the peak memory usage is up in the 30% range, and when it's moving fast, it's around 9%.

We're not seeing the problem being with any one specific user, or any specific device or browser. It's really the same all the time. It's extremely intermittent. The more you are on the site, the faster it gets. Are there are toolset settings we should be adjusting, or optimizing?

The intermittent nature of this issue suggests that it is most likely related to the server.

Have you tested the website's clone on a different server? If not, this would be a good way to confirm this.

I'll also encourage you to get in touch with your hosting support team to see if any server-level resource throttling is involved.
( i.e. more server resources are only made available on demand or when there is a spike in usage )
