The best way for me to explain is if you follow these steps:

On front-end

1. Go to Members in main menu. Inside the select dowpdown you see all of the active categories.
2. Click on "Test" below the search field.
3. You are now inside the post "Test"
4. Under the headline "Related Categories", click "Varnishing".
5. In the select dropwdown - now you only see "Varnishing" and not all of the other categories

I understand that they are different and on step 5 I am inside the taxonomy archive and not the post type archive. But I want them to behave the same.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:

The select dropdown with all the categories (taxonomy) just as in:

Instead, I got:

Just the actual taxonomy I am currently inside of.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - the thing is that search filter with taxonomy archive will not work. We already display the notice when you add the filter to taxonomy archive:

This filter will not be applied to Taxonomy Archives matching the filtered taxonomies: member-category

Currently, it's possible to filter a taxonomy term archive based on that same taxonomy, You can say this is a limitation and even its design by WordPress.

OK I understand. Too bad, would be great if possible.

But I wonder about another issue then...

When selecting a category, it displays the listing correctly. But then, when using pagination, it doesn't seem to navigate only in the chosen category, but it resets and and lists all companies again (page 2, page 3)....

I should navigate only in chosen category. I'm sure this is possible?

Pagination still displays even if there are only a few products in chosen category (this is related then to the issue)

Sorry but I see many pagination links - which pagination links you are talking about?

Here is the Doc for achieve pagination:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/custom-pagination-for-wordpress-archives/

And shortcodes need to be used to display archive pagination:

Ok I will explain very simple.

If you select "Industrial Networks" from the dropdown you will get results with the pagination showing 2 pages. Good.

When you press 'Next' or the number '2' it goes to page 2 - BUT now shows ALL of the pages in the navigation. Bad.

Logically you should only see the 2 pages until you do a new select.

Can you please check now:

The issue was you added the wrong query filter with term name and I changed it to term slug and it works as expected now.

Can you please confirm.
