Problem:

whenever i search something, the site thinks for a long time and then crashes. but the map displays them correctly.

Solution:

Yes, search in large data website will consume more server resource, and it will conduct some performance problems, but it should not conduct the problem:

hey,
i have a map distance search here:

hidden link

(last plus sign on the right will open up the radius search)

whenever i search something, the site thinks for a long time and then crashes. I thought this might have to do with the names of the places (they are in hebrew), but the map displays them correctly.

Any ideas why?

All other search functions are ok - although the site is horribly slow.

Thanks!

Ido

Hello,

Please elaborate the question with more details:

whenever i search something, the site thinks for a long time and then crashes

I have tried these in your website:
1) Open URL
hidden link

2) in the custom search form of sidebar, do some search, it works fine, see screenshot
hidden link

If the problem still persists, I suggest you check if there is any PHP error in your website:

Hey Luo,
Thanks 🙂

Like I said, only the distance filter jams the server. You tried something else. But I think this is a server related issue.

Just one last question: is it a known issue that when there are many posts with many custom fields and many taxonomies - that it SERIOUSLY slows everything down?

Cheers,
Ido
