Search Regex plugin compatibility

This support ticket is created 5 years, 6 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

On my non-Toolset WP sites, I use Search Regex plugin, which is a life saver. Unfortunately this plugin cannot find strings if Toolset post type. This has been a huge headache.

I wonder if you can suggests another plugin for my need. What Search Regex plugin does are:
- Search by content string
- Allows Regex search
- The result is a list of posts with view/edit link (most important feature)
- Let you replace the string after you confirm all the posts to be affected

All the Search & Replace plugins I tried so far doesn't give me the search results so I cannot be sure no unintended target will be affected. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

The Search Regex plugin seems to search only through the content of posts and pages and it was last updated 4 years ago.

While we do not recommend any specific search and replace plugin with Toolset, there are a number of WordPress plugins available for this which offer more features and are updated more frequently.
