Required conditional fields that are not visible give an error

This support ticket is created 5 years, 10 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi guys,
Since last update i have the following problem.
- I've created a set of fields for a custom post type.
- Part of those fields are conditional and required.
- Those fields show or hide when i select an option in a dropdown.
- When the fields are not visible and i try to save the post i get error messages that those fields are required.
- Only solution is to not make them required.
This behaviour is different from before and incorrect i guess.
Can you please assist?

Hi Marc,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

I performed some tests on my website, but couldn't reproduce this issue.

To troubleshoot this, I'll recommend to temporary disable all non-Toolset plugins and then those conditional fields again.

Note: Your website's debug information shows that WordPress version is 5.0.3, so please also update it to the latest version (5.1).

In case the issue still persists, you're welcome to share temporary admin login details in reply to this message, with the exact steps to see the issue.
