I have removed a Post Reference field from a group of Custom Fields and I want to fully delete it. I cannot find it in Post Field Control so I can permanently delete it.

Have I done something wrong? Or is it expected for Post Reference Fields to not show up in Post Field Control (highlighted red when they are not included in any CFGs) like other Custom Fields do?

Hi Ben,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

When a Post Reference field is removed from a post field group and is not being used in any other post field group, a dialog box is shown asking whether to delete the associations or keep them for later use.
( screenshot: hidden link )

If "Delete Associations" option is selected, that post reference field's data is permanently removed from the database and that field is no longer shown in the "Post Field Control" list as well.

If you're not seeing that field in your "Post Field Control" list, it suggests that it is already deleted.

I hope this helps!

regards,
Waqar
