[Resolved] Cannot create taxonomy term Views in block editor

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I would like to create a View of taxonomy terms, but I cannot select a taxonomy in Content Selection.

Solution: The Blocks Editor does not yet support Views of taxonomy terms or Views of Users. Instead, you must use the legacy editor to build these Views and place them in the Block Editor using the wpv-view shortcode.

Can Toolset Blocks not display a view of a taxonomy? I create a view and my 'Content selection' list doesn't include any taxonomies. Why is that?

Hello, that is correct - the Block Editor does not yet support Views of taxonomy terms or Views of Users. It is not possible to create those Views directly in the Block Editor, unfortunately. Our developers plan to include these features in an upcoming release of Blocks/Views. Until that update, you must use the legacy View editor to create Views of terms or Users. It is possible to use the Block Editor to design the loop template for a Taxonomy Term View or a Users View, but the View itself cannot be created directly in the Block Editor. If you want to display those Views in a Block Editor design, it is best to include them using the legacy wpv-view shortcode in a text or HTML block, since the View block will not allow you to place them.

To activate the legacy Views editor, go to Toolset > Settings > General tab. You'll find options for Editing experience here. Choose the option that enables both the Block Editor and legacy editor to have access to both systems in wp-admin. You'll also regain access to the Views menu in wp-admin > Toolset > Views.
