Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to set up a specialized content view [that would replace the default blog/single page view] for my blog posts. However this does not seem to work. When I switch themes, from my H-Code theme, back to 2019, some - but not all of the content view, works. Can you help me resolve this issue.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
No
Is there a similar example that we can see?
No
What is the link to your site?

Hi, I'll be glad to take a look. Can you provide screenshots showing the output of the View with the custom theme active, and then again with the default theme active? Or if you'd prefer giving me wp-admin access I can run those tests myself and see what's going on. Please provide login credentials here, and let me know which URL I should test to see the problem with a default theme active.
Yes, it is actually the blog that we are trying to override and make custom (you can see this by hitting "blog" ) from the top navigation.
When your custom theme is active, I see your Alt Archive View appear in the /blog/ page. If I switch to Twenty Nineteen, I see the same Alt Archive View appear in the /blog/ page. I don't think I understand the problem completely, can you be more specific about which parts of the Content View do not work as expected? I'm attaching screenshots of what I see for your reference.
Yes,
To be more clear. It's actually not the *archive view* that is problematic - it is the actual article (or, single page).
This is not active now, but earlier we tried to create a custom content template for a single blog post (with a few custom fields, more custom layout, etc).
However when we would turn this on and assign this to blog post, no matter what we did, the "single" page (of a blog post) would continue to show the default single page view, and not the custom content template that we created for that article page.
Does this help?
Ok got it, the Content Template you created and assigned to a single post was not appearing when you switched to the H-Code theme. There may be a conflict with that theme we need to address, though I haven't seen any other tickets in the forum related to it. I will try to install that parent theme locally and see if I am able to see the same problem on my local environment. I'll update you shortly.
In a quick test on my local environment, I was able to assign a Content Template to a single post successfully with the H-Code theme active, so I suspect something else is going on like a configuration I'm missing. If you approve, I would like to install the Duplicator plugin on your site so I can make a site clone and run some additional tests locally. Let me know if that's okay and I will get started.
