Hi,

I am created a membership function for my site and I wanted some advice please as this is confusing. Do I need to create both Custom Roles for Members and create a post group for Logged-in users? If so, which should I do first?

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - Using Toolset Access you can manage the access control and its based on the role.

You need role in order to grant or deny the access.

As you may notice - when it comes related to access control - the first topic is to create the custom role "Setting up custom roles for site members".
