I only saw an article mentioning WP-Markdown. Is there a plugin you recommend that will work with toolset views? I'm using a custom post type and would love to support markdown (display but also on user entry/edit). I only need it for the main description/content field.

Any help is appreciated?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Since plugins like WP-Markdown, convert the Markdown syntax into HTML before saving the post/page, that content still should be usable with Toolset plugins.

I couldn't find any compatibility issue reported related to its usage, but you're welcome to try it and let us know if something needs to be reviewed on our end.

regards,
Waqar

Thanks, will try again. I couldn't see how to put an edit field into the edit screen (or custom creation screen for that matter) on member created content but I will look again. Has to be a way but didn't dig real deep since I wasn't sure if it was supported or would work for sure. If you think of anything or know, let me know. But will try it and let you know what happens (hopefully tonight).

Just to be clear I'm trying to use with Toolset Forms for user generated content. Just in case I didn't explain well.

Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Most of these Markdown editor plugins are designed to work in the back-end environment. This means that to make them work in the front-end Toolset Form, some customization may be needed.

Here is the workflow that I'll recommend in this case:

1. Choose a Markdown plugin based on your requirements.

2. Test if it automatically gets applied to the content field in the Toolset Form.

3. If it doesn't, consult that plugin's support team or documentation to learn how to initiate it on the front-end.

4. In case you need assistance around any specific point related to Toolset Forms' functionality, you're welcome to write to us anytime.

regards,
Waqar
