Thank you for offering an alternative map provider in the map plugin. I would be really grateful if you could also add an open source solution without any quota limits, and therefore would like to request an OpenStreetMap / Leaflet option which I think would work really well (using LeafLet as the maps engine and OpenStreetMaps for layers / geocoding services). Other map plugin providers (e.g. hidden link ) are offering this in response to the Google Maps Api changes, it would be great if Toolset would do too so that we can stick with your plugin.

I have forwarded this request but cannot promise any implementation or ETA.

The developers will decide upon several criteria how to proceed and you'll be informed either here or by Changelog, once implemented.

Thanks Beda, I'll close this ticket and wait for any announcements. I can see from the comments in the recent map blog post that I'm not the only one looking for Leaflet/OpenStreetMap integration so hopefully it might be on the horizon!

I'd be interested in this too! Microsoft Azure Maps doesn't provide a service for my region

Adding my voice to this as well. Need a leaflet option as Google isn't affordable, and need a scalable option for our business. Google maps are now failing for us, the costs would bankrupt us ,(literally). Couple of decent leaflet providers like thundeforest (?) that provide an affordable solution, or we can break free from Google and Microsoft, and not hold our businesses hostage to them by hosting our own map servers.

Concur. I have yet to use the mapping function in Toolset (I use a different plugin for it now). Having Leaflet as an option would be a must for me to consider using it in the future. I love everything else about Toolset!

Hi,

I think that knowing the fact that Google is requesting more and more that users have to pay to use their maps API, it should be a good opportunity for Toolset to integrate other solution like leaflet or openstreet.

According our Development plans this will be implemented in the next major feature updates, there is even no need to make your voice heard at https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/ (of course if you want you can still do so however it's not required on this specific request).

I cannot state an ETA though, the date of implementation is not something I can communicate in public (or any approximation of it).
