Hi, I'd like to change the color of the cluster makers on my map. I checked this page: https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/maps/customizing-cluster-markers-with-javascript-functions/ but I have built my page using the blocks editor so there is nowhere to add JS. I tried adding via a 3rd party plugin but this broke the map. How can I change the color of the cluster markers when using the blocks editor?

Hi Mary,

Thank you for getting in touch.

There is still a JS editor on the block editor for your view. If you use the block navigator in the top left hand corner, you should see your view.

Click this and then on the right hand corner of your screen you should see the view block tab. Scroll down to the JS section. See Screenshot.

Thanks Shane! I didn't realise I could add it in there.

One more question - I have 'Zoom level for one marker (0-18)' set at 1, which works great. However after clicking a cluster marker it zooms way more than this which is too much. I would like them both to be the same . How can I set the zoom level for after the cluster marker is clicked?

You will notice there is a cluster click zoom parameter. Perhaps you can set this on your map and let me know if it helps.

I've checked to see if this is available on the Maps block but I'm not seeing an option for it so you may need to invoke the map manually with the [wpv-map-render] shortcode and add the markers using the [wpv-map-marker] shortcode.

Thanks, I'm actually looking for a way to set the zoom for the marker *after* the cluster has been clicked and expanded. Currently it is different to that of the standard markers. Is there a reason it is different? Am I able to change this?

Also I'm having some issues with the map size - I have the height set to 800px which is fine on larger monitors but on smaller ones it gets cut off. I have tried setting the map to 100% height so it will adjust on smaller monitors but it disappears completely when I do. Is there a way I can set the height responsively?

I'm not sure I understand, can you show me a URL where I can see the map and provide step-by-step instructions to see the issue? Normally when a cluster is clicked, the map zooms in to show the markers included in that cluster. So to some extent, it depends on the markers included in the cluster and the previous zoom level. If you'd like to remain at the same zoom level but show more information about the clustered markers, you might experiment with the spiderfy option, which doesn't zoom but isntead expands the clustered markers in-place.

Is there a way I can set the height responsively?
Yes, but to set it at a 100% height, you would probably need to wrap the map in another container with some fixed height value at smaller resolutions. See this other ticket for more information about that: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/maps-view-is-not-loading-on-mobile-view/
