Hi there,
I'm creating a form with CRED, and I was wondering if I could arbitrarily display error or warning messages either above the entire form or below the form (but above the submit button). Is this possible to do?
Thanks.
Saul
Hi Saul,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
When editing a form in the visual mode, you'll see a field item named "Form Messages".
( example screenshot: form-message-visual )
You can drag and drop it to adjust the position of the form messages, with respect to the other fields in the form.
In the expert mode, you'll see the same messages section included through the shortcode:
( example screenshot: form-message-expert )
[cred_field field='form_messages' class='alert alert-warning']
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance with this.
regards,
Waqar
Waqar,
Thank you for the instructions. They were very helpful. A follow-up question: how do I customize, or populate, the message that appears in the form_messages field?
Saul
Nevermind! It's in the "Messages" section on the form edit screen.
Thanks, Waqar!
