Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have 650 parliamentary constituencies set up under a custom taxonomy.
I will have in excess of 2000 service pages created as a custom post type.
I have created my custom post template and my custom archive templates.
I have 30 records uploaded to my custom post type for now so I have some data visible whilst I am building.
I want site visitors to be able to search on their constituency and be taken to the archive page for that custom taxonomy item and I cannot find a way to do this.
Is it possible and I am being dense?
Is there any documentation that you are following?
I am following all of your tutorials
Is there a similar example that we can see?
nope (not that I have created)
What is the link to your site?
hidden link and this is a link to the custom taxonomy archive page I have built hidden link
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
To create a search functionality like this, you can use a Toolset view that lists 'service pages' posts and also includes a search field to limit/filter them based on the 'constituency' taxonomy.
Here is a detailed guide on the topic of creating a view like this:

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need further assistance.
regards,
Waqar
Thank you so much for your very patient and detailed reply. I had made the mistake of not looking at the text instructions in the tutorials and only watching the top level video. My apologies. We have everything working as we hoped and are delighted that Toolset has allowed us, as non-tecchies, to achieve so much in such a short amount of time. You now have loyal fans for your software and your support. Thank you.
