[Resolved] Layout and Bootstrap 4

I want to design a new Website.

I want to use Layout for the basic Layout of the site (Header, Menu and Footer).

For the content I will create specific Content Template for my custom content types with Bootstrap 4 (included with last release of Toolset). Will it work because I see Layout is not recommended anymore ?

Hi there

You need a special theme to be able to use Layouts to design the whole page (i.e. header, footer, etc.) rather than just the content area, but we retired the Toolset theme and no longer support this.

One of our supporters created such a theme which is available on github, but which is not an official product, and which we do not offer support for. However, it is extensively documented: hidden link

Without such an integrated theme, Layouts just manages the content area of the page, much like Content Templates.

We are not actively recommending Layouts for new projects, but we are still maintaining and supporting it (in the content-mode).

That's because we are investing a great deal of effort into making the core Block Editor an effective replacement. We should have an announcement about a significant update later today.
