I am trying to: use layout to design a single post template for a custom post type using latest Divi Theme and Layout Plugin.

I expected to able to design the whole content area (left content area + sidebar)

Instead, I got: everything crammed up on left content area. Please see screenshots 🙂

I followed tutorial here: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/toolset-divi-integration/designing-templates-divi-using-toolset/

The issue is the content does not expand across main content like in tutorial. Please see screenshots.

From my understanding head and footer section will control by Divi themes and we able to design content area using layout plugin and per tutorial documentation is possible.

Please help to achieve this goal 🙂 I want to be able to control design both content area + sidebar not just left area content.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
JSon

Hello,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

In our current layouts version you are only able to control the content section of your pages. Layouts 2.0.2 is coming with some additional settings to restore full control of these sidebar areas, header and footer.

So for this current version you are only able to design the content area.

Please let me know if this clears things up for you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thanks for your quick response 🙂

Do you have temporary fix to design the whole content area until we get the updated version one?

The project need to keep going and once update release we can just updated. I want to keep using DIVI + Layout in combination like this.

Please suggest or help to accomplish this solution until we get the updated version :).

Changing theme to new theme is not fun 🙁 because already got most of the work done.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
JSon

Hi JSon,

What you can do is to remove the sidebar function in the template file for Divi. This should allow your site to flow full width.

Alternatively you could provide me with admin access to the website so that I can have a look as well.

The private fields will be enabled for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi JSon,

I had a copy of our divi integration plugin that seems to still work to some extent. You should be able to use this to do your customisations.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane
