I just wanted to piggypack on the following support instances:

https://toolset.com/forums/topic/integration-with-yoast-not-working/
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/problem-with-yoast-plugin/
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/yoast-seo-problem-with-new-versions-of-yoast/

and ask that an integration with Yoast SEO be implemented to toolset or detailed instructions be provided on how to do this in toolset. I've got several clients that aren't to happy that their custom fields aren't being included in the Yoast SEO workflow. And that the content they're entering into the custom fields we've created for them aren't being included in their overall score.

"We acknowledged that and plan a fix for Types 2.4" was mentioned in the first link above. Is this already in the works? When will Types 2.4 be released?

I'd also like to add that I've had a few clients asking if they should switch from toolset to Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin because of this article on the Yoast website: hidden link. This article talks about the plugin that they (ACF and Yoast) created (https://wordpress.org/plugins/acf-content-analysis-for-yoast-seo/) to integrate the two plugins. I think adding in an integration to Yoast SEO would be a great thing for toolset as I'm sure alot of your users first get introduced to toolset for its ability to easily create custom fields, just like I did.

Like I said I just wanted to piggyback on the support instances above and add my vote for this integration.

Thanks,
Fletcher Horton

I understand your concerns and will forward them.

I have personally filed that request a while ago, but things are a little more complicated than they seem.

We could write such a bridge plugin, but we where also taken a bit off the guard, and so many other developers, when YOAST changed the way of SEO indexing custom data.

We also never officially supported this:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/yoast-seo-problem-with-new-versions-of-yoast/#post-397161

But I fully understand your concern, and I can state that we have plans to achieve this compatibility.
It is still not clear when this will be done (I could say 2.4 but then, if it changes, it's redundant).

First, we will finish the Many To Many Implementation. That will require some time, and then we can start to think about integrations like these, which I agree to see as important, both for you as the user and us the producer.

You will be notified thru our usual ways (blog post, changelog) about eventual changes

Once again, thank you for adding your voice to this.

Any progress on this - this is important for us too - and six months have passed since the original request, is it on the roadmap?

@davidm-29, Please see this:

The Many To Many has just been released, and right now, there are other pressing issues we need to solve.

I have bumped the internal task, which is scheduled for a future release (not too far away)
But this can change and I cannot guarantee any ETA on the solution, which includes a major compatibility code creation, testing and documentation eventually.

You will be notified thru changelogs or blog posts, as that will be a feature to mention 🙂

Hello. Is there any updates on this yet, or any other SEO plug-ins that will work instead? Thanks 🙂
