I am trying to:
I tried to create a Layout for CPT "eintrag".

I expected to see:
My design.

Instead, I got:
Frontend compiled by normal single.php

Is there any way to integrate Toolset Layout into the TagDiv Newspaper theme?

Hi Marc,

Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.

By default, the Toolset Layout plugin can be used with any WordPress theme to create the layout of the content part of the pages, while the main structural elements like header, footer, sidebar etc are controlled by the theme itself.

To make sure that your created Layout for CPT "eintrag" is applied to all of its single post pages, please click the "Change how this Layout is used" button at the bottom of the layout's edit screen.
( screenshot: hidden link )

On the new "Assign to content" popup window, make sure to select the "eintrag" CPT under the "Template for multiple pages" section.

In case the layout is still not applied to single post pages for this CPT, I'll need access to the admin area, to see how the layout and CPT are configured.

Please share temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site, preferably, to a test/development site.

Your next answer will be private which means only you and our support team will have access to it.

Important: Please backup your database and website before sharing the access information.

regards,
Waqar

Hi Marc,

Thanks for writing back and for sharing the access details.

Your Layout is correctly attached to the CPT "eintrag", but further investigation confirmed that the "Newspaper" theme displays content, using its own functions.

Our Toolset plugins expect WordPress' standard function ( the_content ) for the content handling and for this reason to make the theme compatible with Toolset, you'll need to add custom programming to the theme's file.
( more details are available in this reply: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/side-bar-not-working-well-when-enable-it-to-custom-archive/#post-522460 )

For any 1-1 assistance around the theme customization, you can consider consulting one of our recommended contractors:
