[Resolved] Inserting data into a multi-instance field using code

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I would like to insert data into a multi-instance field from custom PHP codes.

Solution:

The multi-instance field created with Types plugin is using same field slug, but multiple instances in the database, so you can use WP function add_post_meta() to setup the values, for example:

Tell us what you are trying to do?

I would like to insert data into a multi-instance field from an external source.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hello,

The multi-instance field created with Types plugin is using same field slug, but multiple instances in the database, so you can use WP function add_post_meta() to setup the values, for example, below PHP codes will setup two instances to custom field "my-field":

add_post_meta($post_id, 'wpcf-my-field', 123, false );
add_post_meta($post_id, 'wpcf-my-field', 456, false );

More help:
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/add_post_meta/
Adds a meta field to the given post.
