[Resolved] How to show CRED FORM submissions in a post

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user had created a CRED form with many custom fields added through CRED but they were not being saved to the post.

Solution:

The solution is that the user should create the custom fields in Types and then Regenerate the CRED form so that the created fields can be reflected on the form.

Hi support.

I have created a CRED form that creates a post type when I submit all the informations.

But I can't seem to find out how to access these data from the CRED form in each single post.

What to do?

Kind regards

Kristen

Hi Shane.

Thank you for your reply in the weekend.

I have made screenshots (1-5) of "Edit CRED Post Form" where you can see that the Settings says that new content will be added to Post types connected to this form: "Udstillere".

Next I have made screenshots (1-2) of the Post type I have created in "Edit Udstiller". The only data from the form I have got in this post type is the title "Kristen Mathiasen".

As you can see here there are several fields where data is typed in to the form. The only item from the form that goes in to the Post Type is "Kontaktperson". See more here: hidden link

How do I get all the other data in to the post type "Udstiller"?

Thank you in advance.

I wish you a pleasant weekend.

Kristen Mathiasen

Hi Kristen,

That is strange as this should apply for every case since its connected to the udstiller cpt.

This might be a plugin conflict issue.

Would you mind temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and try again ?

Once you have done this please let me know the results.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't change anything when I deactivated EVERYTHING except Toolset-plugins.

When I edit the latest "Udstiller" I get what you can see in the screenshot I have embedded with this reply.

If it can help you Toolset has got a login for this site and I allow you to use it.

Kind regards Kristen

Hi Kristen,

I took a look at the form and saw that you had created custom fields in CRED to populate your CPT?

Is there a reason why these fields were not created in Types and then automatically added to CRED when you created the form?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane.

No I have just tried to learn Toolset but you are most welcome to change the settings so that it works properly.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards

Hi Kristen,

I understand why it doesn't work now 🙁

Unfortunately you will need to create these custom field in types and then regenerate your form and it should all be fine 🙂

If you're not sure on how to create these fields in Types you can take a look at the link below.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-custom-fields/

Please let me know if this helps and if there are any other questions.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane.

Thank you very much for the guide. Unfortunately I must have taken a wrong turn some where because I can't get it to work.

I have created a new field group for Udstillere and the next step looks like I will have to build a template but here I don't know what to do.

My goal is that a visitor first of all has to put all the data from the form in to a page. This page they will afterwards be able to edit and some of the data I wan't to show on different pages - for instance the page hidden link

Can you help me to continue from where I have got it wrong?

Thank you in advance and kind regards.

Kristen

Hi Kristen,

I see that you have setup the fields.

The only thing thats left now is for you to just to regenerate your CRED form by clicking the autogenerate form button.

First you must delete the content in the existing form.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane.

I'm trying but it looks that you have to go out of the form for me to enter and edit it 🙂

Kind regards Kristen

Hi again Shane.

I have now deleted the existing form at autogenerated a new form - but the first 4 fields aren't in my form. I think they are some kind of standard-form because I saw it earlier when I first generated my first form.

Kind regards Kristen
