Tell us what you are trying to do?

I have a custom post "Airline"
I created a taxonomy "Industries" as hierarchical parent
From the right sidebar of one of my custom posts, I added children to "Industries"

Airline
Airport
Maintenance
Manufacturer
Service

See screenshot

I want to delete those children and add new ones because I'm re-engineering my taxonomies.

If I delete the taxonomy "industries" and create it again then I get the children back. It seems the children aren't deleted and still somewhere in the database

How to delete those children?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

To access the taxonomy management screen, please follow these steps:

1. From WP Admin -> Toolset -> Taxonomy open the edit screen of the 'industries' taxonomy and make sure that the option 'show_ui' is enabled.
( example screenshot: hidden link )

2. After this, under the 'Airline' post type link in the admin menu, you'll see the option to manage the 'industries' taxonomy.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need further assistance.

regards,
Waqar
