How do I get the search results to pull up custom fields? Right now it seems to only pull up post titles and content. But I have created a few custom post field groups as check boxes (i.e., Acupuncture, Home Visit, Hospice, Video Consult, etc). These custom fields appear in the view output, but they are not found when I search for them using the Text search (title and content).
For testing, you can browse here: hidden link. Then type "Home Visit" in the text search field, and you will get "No items found" as the search result. However, the "Home Visit" custom field option is definitely related to one of the post results.
I did not see this in the tutorials, and could not find any recent solutions in the support forum.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
James
Hi James,
Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.
Your observation is correct. The Toolset's text search feature, makes use of WordPress search that only searches through post titles and the body/content.
To extend it to include the text from the custom fields too, you'll need to include the third-party plugin 'Relevanssi':
https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/
Here is a detailed guide on the topic of using the Toolset and Relevanssi togather:
