Hi,
I need to build an archive page with search on left side of the page, and results on right side of the page.
What would be the best way to do this with Blocks ?
Thank you.

Hi Roman,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Whether you're using the Block's editor or the classic editor, it is not possible to split the WordPress Archives' search form and the search results between the theme's sidebar and the content area.

You can use custom CSS code, to show the search form and the results in virtual columns, side-by-side.

If you could share the link to an archive page with search form and results, I'll be in a better position to guide you with more specific suggestions.

regards,

By using Blocks, I understand I can use the columns in order to achieve what I want.
But it also seems the complexity of my nested views force me to use the classic editor. On this editor, I'd like to know how to build the columns structure. A few years ago, a "grid" tool was displayed among the other layout editor buttons, but I can't see it anymore.
THank you.

Hello,
I successfully loaded the "GRID" button thanks to toolset settings about Bootstrap.
Nevertheless, I would like to be certain what option I should check since I use Astra theme.
Thank you.

Hi Roman,

Than you for waiting.

Your observation is correct and since the Astra theme doesn't load the Bootstrap resources on its own, you can select "Toolset should load Bootstrap 4" for the "Bootstrap loading" field.
( WP Admin -> Toolset -> Settings -> General )

After that, you'll be able to use that "Grid" button to show content in columns in the classic editor.
