[Resolved] How do I remove restaurants, points of interest, etc. from my Google Map?

This support ticket is created 3 years, 11 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

I am super-impressed with Toolset, in a very short time I was able to make a proof of concept for a new product I have.

On my map (hidden link), however, Google places restaurants and other points of interest. I don't want these. Is there a setting in Google Maps to say which types of points of interest I want or not want?

Also, when there are no matches to my query, the map defaults to Africa. How does one set the map default placement and zoom level when there are no markers placed?

Hi Jonathan,

Welcome to Toolset support and glad that our plugins are proving useful.

The "POI filtering" is possible by importing a custom Google Maps style JSON file.
( you'll find this "Map styles" option at WP Admin -> Toolset -> Settings -> Maps )
