This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
Remove empty paragraph blocks.
Solution:
You can select the empty paragraph block, and press "Delete" key.

I started creating a new Content Template for Products. I accidentally created several paragraph blocks - see attached. I am not able to delete them. The other content blocks have a delete option when I click on the top but not these - how do I delete these extra blocks?

Click in the paragraph block, click the button "More options", there is an option "Remove block", see screenshot.
