Hi. I am having trouble viewing a new custom post type using what I think should be the default permalink structure, which is: website.com/customposttypeslug/customposttype-title

When I click to View the new post I published, the URL is: website.com/?slug=customposttype-title

What am I doing wrong? What should the settings be when setting up the custom post type in Toolset? I have tried numerous settings in the "Rewrite" and "Allow permalinks to be prepended ...".

This is what I expect the permalink to be: hidden link (but it simply goes to my homepage)
This is what it is when I click to View the published post: hidden link

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to Toolset support and I'd be happy to assist.

In WordPress, the pretty permalinks are not enabled by default and you can turn them on from WP Admin -> Settings -> Permalinks:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-permalinks/

To have a permalink structure "/customposttypeslug/customposttype-title", you can select the "Post name" options from there.

regards,
Waqar
