I have built some custom views with WPToolset, example: hidden link - a custom view for a custom post type.
In the template for this view it pulls up my GeneratePress Theme settings (headers, footers ect) which are set to default. I actually use Elementor for the header and footer areas as shortcodes in these settings. It shoudl give me headers and footers like this: hidden link
Upon the latest update, WPToolset is no longer displaying those shortcodes from Elementor. I have seen a previous ticket from a few days ago with the same issue, but no updates on how to fix it.
I thought it was the GP settings but they are all fine. The Shortcodes are there in the header and footer areas, but for the views, they are just not showing anymore.
It was working perfectly fine.
Could you help me, please? This site is due to go LIVE today.
Hello - I am still awaiting some support. Thanks Kindly
Upon the latest update, WPToolset is no longer displaying those shortcodes from Elementor. I have seen a previous ticket from a few days ago with the same issue, but no updates on how to fix it.
Can you link to that ticket?
It will allow me to easily find the issue tracker and update you on its status.
I think however the issue you experience is solved if you update Toolset to the very latest versions:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
They should also be in your download area of the Plugins.
We resolved at least 2 major issues for Elementor with the latest updates.
Hello, I have just updated to the latest version and I am still having issues with it not showing the Elementor shortcodes. Can you offer any help? Thanks Kindly
Hi Richard,
Thanks for writing back and sorry to learn that the issue still persists.
The two links that you’ve shared earlier are now showing a 404 page.
For further troubleshooting, we’ll need temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site ( preferably, to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible ).
This access will allow us to offer better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed. Any screenshot(s) or details about the missing shortcodes and their location, will also prove very useful.
Your next answer will be private which means only you and our support team will have access to it.
If you’re going to share the access details for the live/production website, it is very important that a complete backup of your database and website has been made.
We would additionally need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is really important.
Please let us know if you have any further information or questions.
Regards,
Waqar
Hi Richard,
Thank you for sharing the WordPress admin access and we apologize for the delay.
Your staging website seems to have a directory level password protection enabled, which is not allowing access to website's front-end or the admin area.
In case the missing header and footer issue still persists, please also share username and password to bypass that directory level protection.
( I've set your next reply to private as well )
regards,
Waqar
That message doesn't look private! Please make it private asap please.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for writing back.
That message is now private, I'm sorry for missing that earlier.
Unfortunately, the username and password you shared are not being accepted for the directory protection.
Can you please check it again to see if they work for the staging website?
(your next message will be private too)
Sorry, I selected the wrong option. Please make private again 🙂
Hi Richard,
Thanks for sharing the access details.
Looking into your website's setup, I noticed that content templates are set for single pages of two custom post types (jobs & star candidate).
As for the missing header and the before footer elements, they are shown using Elementor Pro's "[elementor-template]" shortcode.
We've recently identified an issue, that Elementor Pro template shortcode cannot be used directly with Toolset Views plugin's content templates.
This has already been reported to the concerned team, but I'm afraid I don't have a time estimate to share at this time.
A workaround, in this case, would be to detach those existing content templates from those single custom post pages and let the Elementor Pro plugin build them, as explained in the following guide:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-with-elementor-page-builder/create-templates-for-custom-post-types-with-elementor-and-toolset/
As a result, you'll be able to show Toolset Views plugin's content template as well as the other templates from Elementor Pro plugin, on those pages.
I hope this helps! Please let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance.
regards,
Waqar
