Problem:
After activate a custom field group, it does not display when edit the post.
Solution:
Please check the compatibility/cache problem

I am trying to: Add a field group "Knowledge" to the standard Post on hidden link
I expected to see the fields of the field group when creating a new Post.
Instead, I got the standard post fields only. The custom fields were not displayed.
I then realized that the field group was set "inactive" in the field group controller. But whichever way I try to activate it (hover > activate, tick > mass action > activate) I don't get the field group activated :-S
What can be preventing the field group from being activated?
(Side note: Toolset forms installation through the "commercial plugins" installer dashboard didn't work, but that shouldn't cause an issue here, I suppose?)
