Hi
I am moving hosting provider and want to make sure I have kept all the work and content done in Toolset . I've done the Exports from the Toolset Export Function (and all kinds of other exports).
The question: is that enough for the Modules?
In the Module Manager / Define Modules a lot of modules are listed, including taxonomies, types, relationships etc.
But there is no export function here. There is a Save button, but I have no clue where that is saved to as there was no system feedback once clicked. Toolset Documentation (https://toolset.com/documentation/legacy-features/export-import/using-toolset-module-manager/) shows a block on the far right not showing in my instance (see attached screenshot of your document).
Can I assume that this will be restored from the "standard" Toolset Export function? Or must something else be done?
I wanted to check what was exported in the *.zip files created, but they do not open with my extraction software.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
I am not sure what exactly you want to export and what structure.
Please note that with the Module manager you can only export the Toolset structure but not the content.
Can you please share admin access details and tell me what structure exactly you want to export.

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
Hi Minesh
I can send you the login details, but it is really a simple question.
We have not launched yet, and still in development.
So there is no user content.
But as we have about 800 taxonomies, I want to make doubly sure that the copy / backup processes are enough to copy their description content (of for example the descriptions, slugs, parent-child relations of post types, taxonomies etc) also copied to exports?
If yes, that problem solved.
About Modules
Is that Toolset section just a more user-friendly interface? If yes, then that problem also solved.
But if it is not, how to make that on the new server the same content will show in the Modules section?
Again - I would like to clarify that Module manager is to import/export the structure not the content.
So, for example, you created custom post type Students and custom field group with three fields (student name, student birthdate, student status) and you also assigned custom taxonomy "Year of passing" where you add the terms as passing year value like 2001,2005 etc..et
Now, if you want all (student post type, custom field group, taxonomy) you created with one of your another site so that you will not have to create the (student post type, custom field group, taxonomy) again and again, in that cause you can export the (student post type, custom field group, taxonomy) using module manager and import the structure with your another site so in one import it will automatically create structure for (student post type, custom field group with the three custom fields and taxonomy).
So, using module manager using existing module gives you luxury that you will not have to create all those entities like custom post type, custom fields, taxonomies, content template, views manually, rather such required structure will be created using single module import and you will have to just feed/add the content.
Then one issue remains: how is the Module section exported?
As per my first post about this matter, my installation does not show that red block on the far right, onto which it seems the items on the left are dragged.
You should try to click on Add new module and drag-drop whatever entity you would like to export and save module.
I'm not sure why the button is not visible to you but if you can share admin access details I'm happy to check this further.

Hi Minesh
Sorted, thanks.
UI a bit confusing.
The items on the left hand side are called modules - I assume as they are listed on the Modules page.
On the far right one can Add a new module.
So in effect, one creates a new module that will include all the modules on the left dragged into it - modules within a module.
I've done that by taking a chance as the UI is not clear. So I could export and zipped all those on the left into one new module.
