Hello,

We would like to use this service for ratings on the site
hidden link

The plugin has been installed and set up, but due to the nature of TS I believe we will need to add a short code to a product template or view so that we can see search results appear.

Here is the info on short codes.

Can you tell me where and what I'd need to edit to add the short code and therefore reviews to the product page?

Thanks

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I would like to know here that do you want to customize the single product page? If yes:

Please check the following Doc - you should install the add on plugin "WooCommrce Views":
=> https://toolset.com/learn/create-an-ecommerce-wordpress-site/single-product/
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/getting-started-woocommerce-views/

In addition to this, I strongly recommend you to use our free test platform discover-wp.com and create a test site using any of our available reference sites and try to play with it and learn how you can create content templates, views, custom searches etc..etc.

Thanks, but I think we need your support further.

We already have views on the site, but I'm unsure where to add the short code to the single product.

Could you add the code for me and explain what you did?

Thanks so much

To run the shortcode I suggest you to create a content template and assign it to product post type and within the content template try to add your required shortcode - for example:

[Woo_stamped_io type="widget"]

Could I get you to do this form me please, as I feel thats the best option to start with.

Thanks

Sorry but I do not get your requirement yet. What I understand is you want to run a shortcode that belongs to another plugin on product page. So I shared the solution that you should create a content template to display your product and add the desired shortcode there.

Please check the following Doc - you should install the add on plugin "WooCommrce Views":
=> https://toolset.com/learn/create-an-ecommerce-wordpress-site/single-product/
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/getting-started-woocommerce-views/

I already said we have woocommerce views installed and that for the next step yes I needed your help to add the short cut to the product template.

If you're unable to help, please pass the ticket to someone that can.

Thank you.

Sorry, but setting up sites for clients is outside of our support policy. I can tell you how to do it, pointing you to the documentation or outlining the steps here if you cannot understand the documentation, but you will need to create the content template and insert the shortcodes from the 3rd-party plugin.

I already shared how you can add the shortcode to the content template:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/embedding-short-code-onto-product-page/#post-1267693

I would like like to know whether you actually want a custom template for products
OR
You want to use the theme/WC template and just wants to add these reviews.

You will have two choices:
- One is to edit the product PHP template and insert the reviews as it describes in the plugin documentation.
- If you don't want to do that, then he will have to recreate the entire product template using a Views Content Template (or Layouts) just to be able to add such a shortcode to it, which sounds like a lot more work.
