I'm trying to create a template using elementor to display easy digital downloads products with the addition of custom fields i created in toolset.
I see that I can create a template in elementor, but I'm not seeing a way to add the post block, then I'm not seeing a way to apply the template created in elementor to all the download type custom posts (edd products)

This would relate entirely to Elementor only, which has a setting where you can choose where (on what post types) to use it, as far I recall.
Elementor then also adds Modules to display such things as the post body.
Views and Forms (from Toolset) can be displayed with such Modules as well.
Fields instead, they are inserted when you edit with elementor, as it's shown on these several Doc's and videos.
