Hi -
I'm creating a site that will display upcoming shows in the area.
I have 3 post types:
bands
shows
venues

In the shows post type, I'd like to create two custom fields for "band" and "venue" that give the user a dynamic dropdown of the titles of the posts created in those post types.

I found some previous posts about this from 2016, and the answer was custom code, but that an upcoming release may support that. So, I'm wondering if the release of relationships is able to support that and if you could get me started in the right direction.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

To achieve this, you won't need custom code now as "Post Relationship" feature can be used for this:
https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/

Depending on your requirement, you'll join these post types through "1-to-1", "1-to-many" or "many-to-many" relationships.

After that, you'll be able to use Toolset Forms, to connect them from the front-end:
https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/how-to-build-front-end-forms-for-connecting-posts/

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar
