[Resolved] Duplicate Views and integrate them in Divi builder

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I want to copy these blocks view, change the filtering options and I want to import them in existing divi sites

Solution:

You can not export/import views created with blocks editor, it is in our to-do list.

Currently, please try to setup the post view with classic editor:

https://toolset.com/course-lesson/enabling-legacy-version-of-toolset-views/

Then you can export/import it using Toolset module manager plugin, you can download it here:

I build a new view with Toolset blocks and it works fine. I`m using filtering options like country =norway and want to adapt this view to other country sites. (ex: hidden link)

Now I want to copy these views, change the filtering options and I want to import them in existing divi sites (only the view).
All my sites are actually build with divi, to change every site to blocks is to much work. I only want to change the view.

How can I do this?

Kind regards,
Tobias

Hello,

Unfortunately, you can not export/import views created with blocks editor, it is in our to-do list, our developers are working on it. I have added this thread into our to-do list, hope it can raise attention.

Currently, please try to setup the post view with classic editor:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/enabling-legacy-version-of-toolset-views/
Then you can export/import it using Toolset module manager plugin, you can download it here:

Hello Luo Yang,

thanks for your reply. This means that I can copy/export my norway view with the module manager and import and rename it as a new view, right?

What do you think: How long will it need until there`s an option to copy views?

#2351299

Yes, you are right, you can export/import the views(legacy editor) with module manager, and you can rename post views.

I am not sure when will it be released, you can subscribe to our blog to get the updated news:

Hello,

is there a documentation how I can duplicate and rename the post views?
I can`t find how it works.

theres no duplicate function in the legacy mode (see screenshot)

You can only duplicate the views created with legacy editor, you can not duplicate views created with blocks editor.
See my screenshot duplicate-view.jpg

Thanks for your reply.
Do you have any other idea like copying the source code or anything else? I need to install almost 100 views that have exactly the same block layout. They need only another filtering.

Or maybe to transform the block view to the legacy view by copy and paste the source code (and changing some parts)?

Unfortunately, there aren't such kind of built-in feature within Toolset plugins, you can add a feature request for it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/
Our developers will evaluate it.

And since Blocks editor is different page builder from Divi builder, it is not recommended to use block view in Divi builder, it will conduct unexpected result, see our document:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/using-toolset-with-divi/#how-to-use-divi-and-toolset-together

Divi provides its own custom editor for building pages. Toolset on the other hand uses WordPress’s built-in Block Editor. In general, you cannot mix elements from these two editors.

So my suggestion is: setup those views with legacy editor, them export/import them.

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
