[Resolved] Displaying related post fields in Elementor template

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

How to use Elementor with Toolset?

Solution:

You can design the page with Blocks editor, setup the Toolset View block, and display related "Investigadores" posts:

And display Elementor templates in Blocks editor by following our document:

I have a many to many relationship between 2 post types: Investigadores and Publicaciones.

I have defined an Elementor template to display the fields of a Publicacion:
hidden link

At the bottom, I would like to display a list of the Investigadores associated to the current Publicacion, each with a picture (featured image), the name (Post title) and the Institucion Principal (custom field of the Investigador post type).

After following the instructions in this post: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/elementor-dynamic-content-and-related-posts/
I created a view of Investigadores, filtered by post relationship (see image 1).

When I go to add new blocks to the view loop, I am not able to select the correct post source or the correct fields. See images 2 and 3.

Hello,

Toolset Blocks plugin is based on WordPress built-in page builder: Blocks editor, but Elementor is another page builder, it is not recommended to design the same page/post with two different page builders, this will conduct unexpected result.

In your case, I suggest you design the page with Blocks editor, setup the Toolset View block, and display related "Investigadores" posts:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/displaying-related-posts/#displaying-many-related-items

And display Elementor templates in Blocks editor by following our document:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/using-toolset-with-elementor-page-builder/#how-to-use-elementor-with-toolset
section "How to use Elementor with Toolset"

My issue is resolved now. Thank you!

Still, I am kind of disappointed that Elementor and Toolset do not integrate more closely. Hate having to use the block editor.
