I'm trying to use Toolset to display a map of all of our posts types "properties"
The custom post type and associated custom fields were created prior to using Toolset in Advanced Custom Fields. What is the best method to go about this?
I'm trying to follow the documentation but it's assuming starting a new site vs. using data on an existing site so I'm finding it very confusing.
Hello,
I suggest you try these:
1) Add a post field group to post type "properties", and add a custom address field "location" in this field group:
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-custom-fields/
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/installing-toolset-maps-and-adding-address-fields/
2) Edit each "properties" post, setup the "location" field value
2) Create a new page, follow our document to display the map with a view block:
https://toolset.com/lesson-placement/lesson-placements-1622939-1620853/
If I add the post field group, would we have to go back into all the posts and remap the addresses or can we pull in the existing ACF field that includes the address information? Or is that what you are referring to by #2 to setup the location field value?
I assume we are talking about the "Google map" field of plugin "Advanced Custom Fields", download from:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/
I have tried it in a fresh WP site, "Google map" field of "Advanced Custom Fields" plugin can not be converted into Toolset custom address field.
So you will need set the "location" field value of each "properties" post manually.
How do I go about requesting a refund within the 30 day window? Our site is already built using Elementor and ACF so it seems like we're going to have to rebuild the site just to use the Toolset mapping feature, which is not what we expected.
