Hi,

Under earlier versions of Toolset Forms the id of a form generated by a toolset shortcode looked something like this: id="cred_form_5_1". Where 5 is the ID of the form and the following 1 I assume is the count/index of the form on the page.
I am guessing since an update the ids however look like this: id="cred_form_5_1_1".
I am not sure what this added 1 is used for. It does however break a lot of forms for us where we have input fields outside of the form... referencing to a certain form using the id.

I could not find anything in the changelogs, so I was wondering:

Did you change the way the ids are generated?
If so, is this a lasting change?

Was this mentioned in the changelogs (maybe I overlooked)?
If not, would you consider mentioning this in future releases?

Kind regards,

Tako

Hi Tako,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

This change was introduced to resolve some conflicts occurring when there are multiple forms on the same page, especially in the context of third-party page builders.

It is a stable change, and is not expected to change again anytime soon, so it is safe to adjust your forms, based on this new id pattern.

And because this id pattern, is not part of any public API, there was no announcement about it in the changelogs.

regards,
Waqar
