I have a site that has a custom search functionality using a plugin that unfortunately doesn't work with PHP7 and I've been struggling to find a replacement.
However, I don't want the search results to display on the same page. I want the search results to display on a separate page, just like the native WordPress functionality. Is this possible with Toolset?
2. Next, you'll create a new page (let's call this, "Search Form" page) where you'd only like to show the search form, but without the results.
On this page, insert a "View" block and from the existing views, select the already created view from step 1.
From the view block's settings, choose "Only the search form" and also select the page on which you'd like to show the results which would be the "Search Results" page.

As a result, when a visitor will use the search form inserted on the "Search Form" page, the results will be shown on a separate "Search Results" page.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.
Thank you for your help, Waqar. I almost made it work but the Search Results page doesn't show up in the drop down as an option to show the results on. My search form also won't show all radio button options. (They appear and then disappear?) Moreover, I'm not comfortable using the block editor and Views concept, and have found a search plugin that works in a more traditional way. Thanks again.
Our blocks-based views are specially developed in line with the new direction that WordPress itself is heading with the default editor Gutenberg ( https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ ).
We're constantly improving how Toolset features are integrated within this new editor and encourage feedback and suggestions from the users. But for someone who prefers not to use Gutenberg editor, the classic/legacy way to create views using the shortcodes is also available.
You can go to WP Admin > Toolset > Settings > General and select the option "Show both the legacy and Blocks interface and let me choose which to use for each item I build" for the editing experience.
After that, you'll see the option to add classic views from WP Admin > Toolset > Views.
To troubleshoot why the Search Results page is not showing in the drop-down to select the results, I'll need to see how this view and the pages are set up in the admin area.
Can you please share temporary admin login details, along with the links to the search form and the search results pages?
Note: Your next reply will be private and though no changes will be made on your website, please make a complete backup copy, before sharing the access details.
Thank you Waqar. I will decline your kind offer of assistance as I do not want to use Toolset. I have found a more simple plugin that is specifically a search plugin that does what I need. Toolset seems like a very good plugin, it's just not ideal for my project. Take care,
Sam
