I've always had the same CRED notifications set up for both my create and amend versions of post forms and the emails sent has always been correct.
Recently I introduced a third form to enable Editors to publish CPTs on the front end. That's when multiple emails started.
After a bit of brief testing, I've discovered that if the CPT is published in the wordpress backend, the correct number of emails are sent. If the CPT is published on the front end, multiple emails are sent. In a way this is logical but I've always understood that all the notifications need to exist in all the versions of the forms. Is this not/no longer correct? We lose some flexibility in only being able to publish on the frontend if we remove the emails from the other form versions to prevent duplication.
I've also received 4 emails from Toolset this morning prompted by the clean-up robot and I see another member has also reported this issue (https://toolset.com/forums/topic/cred-form-emails/page/5/).
Please advise

Yes, the notifications are bound to the Forms, BUT:
- they will affect backend, this means their conditions are met as well in the backend, and hence, work there as well
- they should however not affect the same actions or conditions on other Forms.
To Clarify the steps I need to take, can you elaborate exactly on what conditions your emails are sent (expected)?
I can then try to set up an exact copy and test this.
Maybe - it's sometimes faster to show than to explain.
We have the Discover WP site, and it's maybe easier to just set it up there, so I can look at it, and we spare us the ping-pong of back and forth until my modest mind can replicate exactly what you describe.

I suspect you fire one of the emails on a generic event like "when posting status changes".
And that setting repeats on all Forms, eventually.
Is this the case?
Sorry for the delay in responding - this thread wasn't listed in the 'subscribed' section so I didn't see it. (Shouldn't I be automatically subscribed to my own threads???? I wouldn't unsubscribe myself!)
I think we're getting wires crossed and that's down to me! When I said I had introduced a third form, I should have explained that this third form is a clone of the first (it's not a totally new form).
Could you re-read my initial thread with this in mind please? Don't forget I've also told you that I'm getting multiple duplicate emails from you guys so I'm guessing you have a similar thing in place.
Thanks
Could you check that in the duplicated form there are no leftover Emails that took the condition and data from the original?
If there are emails set up, I suggest to delete and re-create them, it might be that you had some corruption during the duplication.
We do not use CRED on this Forum, hence it cannot be related.
But please keep me informed, if this is still happening, and if possible to pass me the information as asked in the previous reply, maybe I can then replicate this immediately!
I've made changes to the notifications users get and I think the issue is resolved.
I did notice that the latest update to CRED 1.9.2 addresses a 'multiple email' issue. I assume it's the same issue.
If I get any further problems, I'll let you know.
Many thanks
