I am trying to:
Create a CRED contact form

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
The error happens in backend

I expected to see:
When I save the Edit CRED Post form (the definition) I expect the information to save and stick.

Instead, I got:
I changed some of the error phrases but the default ones are there after saving.
When I set the action to be 'Show this message' none of the settings in the Settings area is saved
None of the information entered for sending notifications is saved.

I do have other valid CRED forms so it did work at some point.
Recent changes to my site, autoupdate of WP, latest update for Toolset

Dear y.S,

The problem you mentioned above is abnormal, in case there is any compatibility problem, please try this:
1) deactivate other plugins and switch to wordpress default theme, and test again
2) If the problem still persists, please provide a database dump file (ZIP file) of your website in below private detail box, also point out the CRED form URL, I need to test and debug it in my localhost, thanks

I am having the same problem. Isn´t it caused by the new Worpdress 4.8.3?

Probably. The question is, what to do next?
Is WP correct and does Toolset need updating?
Do we revert to older WP because 4.8.3 has flaws?

Thanks for the details, I can login your website, and I can open the CRED form, since your website is not in English, I am not sure if it is where I should check:
Edit the CRED form "Formulier voor Contact", option "Nadat bezoekers dit formulier verzenden" choose "Toon een bericht in plaats van het formulier...", and fill it with some text, and save the CRED form, I do see those settings are saved without any problem. see screenshot cred-form1.JPG
Add a email notification with some text in the notification body, and save the CRED form, and I do see those settings are saved without any problem. see screenshot cred-form2.JPG

Could you describe detail steps for the question:
When I set the action to be 'Show this message' none of the settings in the Settings area is saved
None of the information entered for sending notifications is saved.

Thanks,

HI,
could you please remove the images, or adjust them to not show the url?

When you add more than one line to the textfield to show after a form has been submitted you will see the information disappears.
Try adjusting a message in the message section (at the bottom).
You can switch to English if that makes it more readable for you.

Thanks for the details, I can duplicate same problem, and escalated this thread, our developers are working on it, it should be fixed soon. Current there is a work around, you can try this:
Edit the CRED form, choose option "Display a message instead of the form...", in the message box, click "Text" tab, wrap your text with HTML P tag, all in one single line, for example:

<p>one paragraph</p><p>two paragraph</p>

Just want to remind you that the oneliners in "Messages" sections are not saving either. The '<p></p>' workaround doesn't work for those lines.

Which one is the "Messages" sections, could you describe detail steps for how and I can see the problem? thanks

As far as I can see there is only one section in the CRED from that is named messages, but I'll attach an image of it to make it more clear.

The first line says 'Post Saved', change it to something else (eg Message Saved) and save the form.
After reloading the first line still says 'Post Saved'.

Thanks for the details, those single line fields in section "Message" do not support HTML tags, they only support pure text, it is expected result. If you agree we can take it as a feature request.

You are missing the point. I do not need HTML tags in those messages fields. I need the possibility to change the text that is there by default. Something that had stopped working too.

It is all fixed by the recent update of the CRED plugin though.
