Hi I am trying to create an archives page I have the task of updating a 14-year-old website that sort of used toolset but it is a mess there are over 4000 posts that I have split into 7 different custom post types I have created a post view (I think that's the right terminology) but I cannot create an archive page.

I have been following your tutorial on the subject, Creating a custom Archive page (Chapter 3) but what I get when I follow is completely different from your video I don't get any of the options. And I certainly don't get anything that looks remotely like the edit page.

I have included some images of what your video shows and what I am getting I am using one of your recommended themes to be honest I would rather use Divi but seeing as I am still learning how to use toolset I thought it best to use one of your recommended themes.

Can you advise me on where I am going wrong, please?

The link to my site is hidden link
the operational site is hidden link The log in credentials are the same
I have only just taken over looking after the sites the previous developer is no longer around

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

The documentation that you're referring to explains the steps for how to create an Archive using the blocks-based Gutenberg editor:
https://toolset.com/course-chapter/designing-the-archive-for-directory-items/

The one existing archive that you have on the website 'Young Adults', was created using the classic/legacy editor.

You'll find the option for selecting the 'Editing experience', at WP Admin -> Toolset -> Settings -> General. Currently, it is set to 'Show only the Blocks interface', which means that any new archives that you'll create from WP Admin -> Toolset -> WordPress Archives, will use the blocks-based Gutenberg editor and not the classic editor.

I've just re-saved the same 'Editing Experience' and tested the same and was able to create a new archive, as expected.

I hope this helps and let me know if you need further assistance.

regards,
Waqar
