Hi!

Since the basic functionality for editing Custom Post Types in WordPress is quite awkward I wanted to ask if it is possible to create a backend template for easier editing in WordPress backend?

Thx

Best

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

It seems you want to single post content template for your post type. If this is correct:
- You can create content template using blocks or using classic mode.

Please check the following Docs:
- https://toolset.com/glossary/template/
- https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-templates-to-display-custom-posts/
- https://toolset.com/documentation/programmer-reference/theme-support-for-content-templates/

If you do not want to use blocks - then you can activate the legacy/classic mode by following the instructions given with the following Doc:
- https://toolset.com/course-lesson/enabling-legacy-version-of-toolset-views/

Once you enable the legacy/classic mode, you can create content template in legacy mode where you can add the desired shortcodes to build the content template output:
=> Toolset => Content Templates
