Is there a way to do something like this in Toolset?

hidden link

I would like to be able to filter search results by clicking on the links on the left side.

Thanks,
Marianella

Hi Marianella,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

In Toolset's search forms, there is no option to use the search fields as links. However, a simple workaround is to use the radio button or checkbox type fields and then hide the actual radio buttons/checkboxes using the custom CSS. This way their text label will still be there to act as a clickable link.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need further assistance.

regards,
Waqar

This sounds great. Now, how about the count of items that exist for a given filter and the suppression of those that are not relevant for a given query?

Thanks!

Thanks for writing back.

For showing the count with the option's label, you can use the field 'FORMAT OF THE OPTIONS' in the 'Custom Search Filter' block's settings.

%%NAME%% (%%COUNT%%)

And for showing only the relevant options that can actually produce results, you can keep the option 'Show only filter options that would produce results' enabled in the 'View Search' block's settings.
