[Resolved] Content template not editable with Divi

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user is trying to edit their content template that was built using the Divi builder, but the template won't show up.

Solution:

It seems the issue was that it was using the [] brackets for shortcodes in divi.

Due to some issues with Divi and Toolset we added a special way of rendering the shortcodes in Divi.

Please ensure that when you add our Toolset shortcodes to your divi layout they are of this format -> {!{cred_form form='form-edit-a-product'}!}

I am trying to: Edit a form content template in Divi

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: The Divi edit screen

Instead, I got: A blank form (no Divi builder). I am able to edit other content templates using Divi so I am puzzled why this does not work.

Hi Lawerence,

Thank you for the credentials.

I see there is some JS errors in your website console on this page. Could you temporarily disable all the non-toolset plugins and try again ?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

With all non-Toolset plugins disabled the problem persists. Feel free to login and check for yourself.

Thanks
Lawrence

Hi Lawerence,

Thank you for trying but the issue seems to be caused by our Toolset Forms plugin. Could you send me a copy of the Divi theme so that I can test this locally to see if the same issue occurs ?

Thanks,
Shane

Sure Shane, how should I send it?

Hi Lawrence,

It works well on my end.

So it seems the issue is localized to your site. Would you mind if I took a duplicator package from your site ? This is so that I con't mess up any live environment while testing.

Also if possible could you update the server to use php version 7 instead of 5.6 ?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane, yes sure, you can take a duplicator package. I'll update the PHP version.

Hi Lawrence,

It seems to be an issue with your server since I migrate it to mine and it works perfectly. See Screenshot

Let me know the results of the php update.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

PHP update has not fixed it. Any idea what specific issue could cause this? Would exporting all Toolset custom fields, post types and taxonomies and importing them again after a clean site install fix this? I don't want to try it if it definitely won't work as I am on a very tight deadline.

Hi Shane

The content template you linked to does open the Divi builder but not this one (which was the original link I shared with you).

hidden link

or this one: hidden link

It appears as if it is the front end forms that are not displaying, other content templates seem to work fine in Divi builder?

Please confirm if it works for you?
