Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I need to know how exactly you added the container block. Can you please send me a problem URL and access details so I can check why the full-width option is not visible.

*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.

I followed the video tutorial.

this is how I added the container.

1. Added a block
2. Added a container
2.1 added a background image - but can't make it full width
3. Added 2 columns
4. Added a container on each column
5. added text on the columns

I have attached a screenshot on the hierarchy of the blocks

This is strange.

I would like to know what plugin version you are using and problem URL and access details. As with container block added using Views Version 3.1.3 I can see the Full-width option. Please check the following screenshot: hidden link

Thank you for sharing the problem URL and screenshot.

I will require temporary admin access details as well that will allow me to dive into admin so that I can see whats going wrong with your setup.

The thing is that the theme you are using is not having a support for wide width alignment added.

if the theme does not have the align-wide support added we won't show the wide and full option.

More info:
=> https://developer.wordpress.org/block-editor/developers/themes/theme-support/#wide-alignment

If you switch to the default twenty-twenty theme, you will see the full-width option. The full-width option is also shown with twenty nineteen them as well. So, the issue is your theme do not have the support added align-wide support.

Thank you for the help. Aside from changing theme to 2020 is there a way to make the container full width via css?

I do not have any workaround to offer you. Maybe you need to customize the theme files accordingly or better contact your theme author and ask the same question about how you can use full-width as the theme is not built using the standard alignment option as I shared follows:
