choose background image

I created a post type where registered users enter: name, date, etc.

I want them to choose between some pre-loaded photos that will be the background to their card. I thought about creating a custom field that I call: 'background-card' and then use the same name in the Css to recall it in the wordpress page.

the problem is that I do not know which custom field to use to do this. I hope I managed to explain well.

Dear Massimo,

I suggest you setup the "background-card" as a custom image field:

Then output it as background image:
