non editable add custom field to template.JPG
editable add field to template.JPG

I am trying to: add a custom field to a template

I visited this URL: hidden link

I expected to see: the insert custom field pane editable and clickable

Instead, I got: the insert custom field pane is grayed out with no ability to edit or save the information

please see screenshots if its a non custom field e.g. post title I can add it if its a custom field I cannot.

this used to work just fine before I updated the plugins.

Please advise,
Thanks,

David

Hi David,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I suspect that this issue is being caused by a plugin conflict and as such I would recommend that you temporarily disable all your non-toolset plugins and try again.

Once you have done this please let me know the results and we can move from there.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

Thank you for the credentials.

I took a look at this through the backend and was not able to experience the issue from your screenshot so it seems the website is fine.

However it may be your browser and I would recommend trying a different browser and see if the issue is still present.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

I was able to notice this issue when i checked the fields that you highlighted.

The issue may be because of the divi theme because it needs to be updated. Just to confirm could you try updating the theme and see.

if the issue is there after that I would like to get a duplicator package of your site to debug it even further.

Thanks,
Shane

HI Shane,

i think i figured some of it
after looking at https://toolset.com/2017/06/divi-integration-with-toolset-the-first-update-is-out
i deactivated the Toolset Divi Integration this solve the issue of adding the custom field to a template.

however deactivating the Toolset Divi Integration broke the site look and feel in the front end.

this is really frustrating.

whats next?

David

Hi David,

I was able to replicate the issue and made a report to our 2nd tier team .

Hopefully there is a solution for this soon. However you can disable to divi integration and then add the fields and re-activate it once the fields have been added.

I know this will cause some inconvenience but this is the only suggestion I have until this issue gets resolved.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi David,

It seems that this issue has been resolved in our next release so when the plugin updates then this issue should also be resolved.

Thanks,
