Tell us what you are trying to do?
Create a new view using the Toolset Block Editor. I've added the View (created a new one), added the grid, and that is when the issue starts. The screen keeps jumping around, the first item is always pushed down due to the text "start typing or add a block" which just breaks the overall look/feel of the grid. Than I want to replicate what I had in an older views. A featured image (linked) with some text below (which is also linked) and text which is conditional. All this is possible in the old Toolset View. In the Blocks Editor all I constantly get is "you can't type when a short code is selected". I move the cursor, and before I do anything it jumps back again. When I finally have the image and text in there which is not the conditional part, I can't highlight it anymore to make it a link.

I understand this is the direction Toolset wants to go in, but it is the worst possible experience, and made for a few frustrating hours over the last few days.

The Old view is okay, but having a hard time setting the right number of columns for the different screen sizes.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
The official Toolset Documentation

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

Your observation is correct and Toolset is deeply focused on the blocks based editor "Gutenberg", as that is the direction WordPress itself is heading.

Both the Gutenberg and Toolset Blocks have come a long way from where they started, and we're constantly improving Blocks, based on the suggestions and feedback from the customers.

The jumping effect that you referred to, is the result of constant sync to get the data dynamically for the preview pane and takes some getting used to. We also have an internal ticket to improve the block padding and margins and make them more consistent.

If you're using the "Fields and Text" block and some content is not editable in visual mode, you can switch to the HTML mode, and then that content will be selectable/editable.

To have a card/container in a grid that is clickable as a whole, you can insert a "Container" block that holds the content (text, image, etc) and then make it clickable:

If you'd prefer to use the classic views editor and have a different grid/columns, based on the screen size, you can make use of Bootstrap's grid classes:

This reply includes a good usage example:

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further assistance around this.

regards,
Waqar
