Hi support,

this is something like a pre-sales question. However, I have already bought toolset. 🙂

I want to create a customer area on which I put users in different groups. We're a group travel agency, so the user should be able to be member of certain tour, even maybe multiple tours.

1) If he is e.g. member of the March tour, he (and all other members) should see some information which I put in the backend for the whole tour, and he cannot change (e.g. the flight plan). ==> Types + Views?
2) He should also be able to see some individual information, which he cannot edit, e.g. his account balance. ==> Access?
3) Further, he should also be able to always set some information by his own, e.g. his phone number. ==> CRED?
4) Last but not least, all members of the March tour should be able to edit some information until a certain deadline, and if I disable it, they should still be able to see it, but not edit it, e.g. his "Special Meal" until 3 days before the flight. ==> ???

I tried to guess the right tool as a solution. But beyond this, is there a members plugin which is recommended by toolset? I think this would make things way more easy than having no plugin for this, or an unsupported one?

Best,
Stefan

Dear Stefan,

Question 1+2+3, I think you are right.
Q4) You can use Views shortcode [wpv-conditional] to check if it is before the deadline, then display the CRED form, see our document:
wpv-conditional
Conditional shortcode to be used to display a specific block of meta HTML based on results of a boolean expression .
https://toolset.com/documentation/views-shortcodes/#wpv-conditional
What kind of members plugin do you need?
There is Access plugin in Toolset, and here is the documents:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/#access

And Types plugin supports the custom user fields:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/user-fields/

Hope it help
